My style of life design has been intentional and consistent. I am a collector of experiences, fueled by curiosity, hungry for fresh perspectives. Constantly seeking ways to broaden my horizons and add variety to my life’s resume, I jump at the chance to see new places, try new things, and learn as much as I can through active observation.
Meeting “strangers”, breaking down barriers, and finding ways to connect with people fulfills me. Doing so helps me increase empathy, enhance social acuity, and do my part to send the message that we are not alone.
I am passionate about travel, both international and domestic. The world has been my classroom, and planes have been my school bus. My goal is to maintain a ratio of at least 1:1 countries visited to years old, see all fifty states, set foot on all seven continents, and perhaps some day even venture into space.
I am passionate about personal development, spiritual practices, building community, and random acts of kindness. Being of service has been a main theme throughout my life, and a pillar upon which my future is being built.
As an athlete, a Marine veteran, a coach, and a counselor, I have learned the importance and nuance of working in teams.
As a student, a teacher, an entrepreneur, and an international businessman, I have learned the value of education, cultural sensitivity, and the ongoing pursuit of new perspectives.
The depth and complexity of life’s toughest lessons have made me who I am. Those learned through love, loss, compassion, war, failure, perseverance, achievement, regret, remorse and forgiveness, have provided the building blocks and mirrors needed for growth. They have illuminated my shadows, exposed my ego, and humbled me to my core.
I once saw a commercial that asked, “If you wrote a book about your life, would anyone want to read it?” The way I am living mine, I believe so. At the end of the day, I’ll certainly enjoy reading it back myself, and I'm nowhere close to done writing yet!
